On February 28, 2020 V/WSSP held a fundraiser honoring 3 decades of exemplary service to the community. We have been a staple of South Philadelphia for 30 years, providing support to people harmed by violence and offering hope to communities envisioning safer and more resilient neighborhoods. We have been an integral part of the community, trusted by neighbors, schools, businesses, and faith leaders to respond with trauma-informed care and compassion to community members who have experienced harm. Over the years, the agency has provided numerous trainings and workshops on issues related to public safety, crime prevention, resources for survivors, the criminal justice system, access to justice, and many other subjects, training thousands of community members to advocate for themselves and their families in situations of violence.
